Hello my Lovelies!
So last week I ran out of my Match Perfection concealer and needed to buy a new one so I decided to do a little bit of research and find out what people thought was a good concealer for under the eyes and for blemishes.
Now I have heard about the Collection concealer as sooo many YouTubers and beauty bloggers rave about it and recommend it so I thought I’d give it a go considering it got so many good reviews. To be quite honest I’m not really sure how I feel about it. It does last a long time but it just didn’t seem to cover up under my eyes very well. I tend not to sleep very well during the night and apparently naps are only acceptable when you’re a toddler or over the age of 80, so I do have quite dark circles under my eyes and it just didn’t do much for me. I much prefer the Match Perfection one from Rimmel for that purpose. It even kind of made the circles under my eyes look even darker.
Having said that it did do really well to cover up redness and blemishes that I had and kept them covered for the entire day which I was impressed with. To apply it I just dabbed the doe foot around my eye a few times and on any blemishes I had and then blended it in with my finger ( this is how I have always done it). I found that doing it this way left my under eye kinda cakey so I switched to using a beauty blender which solved that problem.
When I’m getting ready for work I don’t take hours to get ready and like to get my makeup done in about 20 minutes so I don’t exactly have time to be using two different concealers every morning. I think the Collection concealer is good to have in case of a break out but I prefer a concealer I can use for all over rather than one specific thing.
I’m not sure if I’d repurchase this, although knowing it is good for spots and blemishes I do recommend it if you are prone to break outs or acne.
Have any of you tried it? What are your thoughts on it? Is there any other concealers you think I should try? Let me know!
Bye for now
